There is something so special about a Father/Daughter Dance. Ever since the first one Kaitlyn was invited to as a Daisy Scout in Troop 3222, she has held this to be like the highest form of a Daddy/Daughter Date. And Kourey, seeing the specialness around it, couldn’t wait until it was her turn to go, too.
Last year Kaitlyn had Keith all to herself again for the annual Girl Scout Father/Daughter Dance, but had to share him with Kourey for the Beauty and the Beast Father/Daughter Dinner and Dance at church.
This year, Keith is doing double duty at both dances. This Saturday will be the first dance, when Keith takes Kaitlyn and Kourey to “The Hop” with the 50s themed dance at church. I have some poodle skirt and other 50s cuteness to show you later – stay tuned!
And just around the corner is the annual Girl Scout Father/Daughter Dance. This year the theme is “A Night in Wonderland”. I did the flyers again this year, and the patch. I’ll show you the patch after the dance, but here’s the flyer. Girls from across the Girl Scout spectrum – from Daisy to Ambassador – have this opportunity to spend the night with their father (or father figure) as the belles of the ball. My friend (and Girl Scout mentor) Belinda organizes this event, and it is a real favorite of every girl I know.
