In which I have never made quiche before,
I tried out my quiche recipe tonight. It tasted even better than it looks, but I will never make it because my sweet husband doesn’t like eggs. Or spinach. Or cream cheese. Or pie crust. He’s ok on ham.
Here’s the recipe:
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 8-10 oz. frozen chopped spinach; thawed, drained and squeezed (1 box or 1/2 bag)
- 2/3 c. diced ham (about 1/2 lb.)
- Frozen deep dish pie crust
Whip cream cheese, then beat in eggs. Add milk, cayenne and onion powder. Stir in spinach and ham. Fill pie crust and bake in preheated 350 degree oven on baking sheet for 50-60 minutes or until knife in center comes out clean.
